Keychron Q1 Pro
This 3D keyboard visualization project explores how product aesthetics, material choices, and lighting decisions shape user perception. I designed, modeled, and rendered the scene to highlight the tactile and visual qualities of a premium mechanical keyboard.
The Goal
What I Aimed to Communicate
My intention was to showcase the keyboard as a thoughtfully engineered product—capturing the feel of real-world craftsmanship through material accuracy, lighting quality, and form clarity. I wanted the render to communicate durability, tactility, and premium detail, allowing viewers to immediately understand the character of the keyboard and how it feels in use.
Why This Approach Was Chosen
I adopted a clean, product-focused visual style because it mirrors how modern hardware brands present their devices: minimal distractions, controlled lighting, and purposeful material definition. This approach keeps the attention on the keyboard's geometry and surface finish, emphasizes the design decisions behind the case, and delivers a polished, professional look suitable for showcasing on a portfolio website.
Inspiration
I looked at modern mechanical keyboards and product shots from brands like Keychron and Mode Designs. Their clean lighting, minimal layouts, and focus on material detail shaped the overall direction.
